Sharp boosts high-volume market with double launch

Sharp has responded to a spike in demand for print technology by launching two new high-volume colour multifunction printers.

The MX-6580N and MX-7580N have been designed to help streamline document workflow for high-volume office environments, small central reprographics departments and copy rooms, with the MX-6580N boasting a speed of 65 pages per minute and the MX-7580N 75 pages.

 

Both models are equipped with Sharp OSA technology, which the manufacturer says will allow for easy integration with network applications and cloud services. 

 

Felicity Knee, product marketing manager for Sharp Business Systems UK says: “Sharp’s new colour MFPs are an essential complement to our existing line-up and continue our tradition of solutions that provide ease of use, integration and advanced workflow for our customers. 

 

“The MX-6580N and 7580N offer higher speeds and higher volume with a user-friendly interface, making it easy to achieve a professional output.”

Other features include Sharp’s Colour Consistency System, which it says helps ensure uniform colour output job-after-job, while a customisable touch screen display offers a user-friendly interface.

 

And as the machines were built on the Fiery colour print server, Sharp says this makes them suitable for environments where more colour control and precision is required.

 

In addition, there is the option to use mobile scanning is available via Sharpdesk Mobile, which allows for connectivity with mobile printing platforms including Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Native Android Printing.

 

A server-less print release option will also allow users to release a job from another device without the use of a server or additional software.
