Canon surpasses Major Sales Milestone
Canon surpasses major sales milestone
Digital print heavyweight Canon has revealed that it has sold more than 500 units of its flagship imagePRESS C10000VP Series in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, despite only launching the series in September 2015.
Canon says interest in and demand for the series— comprising the 100 page-per-minute C10000VP and the 80 page-per-minute C8000VP—has been high over the past two years, with companies from across the EMEA contacting the manufacturer with a view to purchasing a machine.
Duncan Smith, director of industrial and production solutions at Canon UK, says: “With the launch of the imagePRESS C10000VP Series, we responded to a call for outstanding image quality, predictable colour consistency and accurate registration on whatever media our customers choose, without compromising on speed.
“It’s immensely encouraging to hear feedback that hails this technology such a resounding success and to see customers reaping the benefits. This is testament to the success of how, as a business, we innovate through understanding and responding to what our customers tell us they need to advance their business.”

Canon will exhibit at The Print Show this year and visitors to the event will have the opportunity to speak with Canon about the imagePRESS C10000VP Series, as we as its collection of other kit. This could in turn lead to further sales as 2017 turns into 2018.
Smith adds: “Interestingly, we are also seeing many customers installing the C10000VP alongside both cut-sheet and continuous feed inkjet engines from Canon, forming truly blended production environments and making the notion of ‘toner versus inkjet’ a thing of the past.
“Print service providers are clearly seeing how complementary technologies, and indeed diverse methods of digital production, can offer business-changing results.
“We are proud to be at the forefront of this evolution with an extensive product, service and support portfolio that makes this possible from a single source.”
