Xerox/Watkiss global first for IPEX
Watkiss' PowerSquare PSQ160X booklet maker will work inline with the Xerox Versant 3100 to produce full bleed colour booklet applications at IPEX 2017
Visitors to IPEX 2017 will be able to see Watkiss' new PowerSquare PSQ160X booklet maker working inline with the Xerox Versant 3100 for the first time to showcase a full booklet production journey.
The PSQ160X, part of the PowerSquare 160 Series, is Watkiss' new booklet maker for Xerox printers and it is the first time this new configuration will be exhibited and demonstrated.
'We are delighted to be partnering with Watkiss in a first showing for both the finishing company and Xerox,' said Mike Holyoake, group sales director at Zerographic (a Xerox Platinum Business Partner). 'Zerographic are providing a Xerox Versant 3100 Colour Press with EFI Controller connected inline to the new Watkiss PowerSquare 160 Booklet Maker in what will be the first public showing and demonstration at IPEX of this new innovative solution.'
We have been a Xerox Business Innovation Partner for many years and we work closely with Xerox during our product development cycles,' explained Paul Attew, Watkiss sales director. 'We welcome the opportunity to jointly showcase this configuration at IPEX 2017. The PowerSquare 160 complements our PowerSquare 224 range by providing a SquareBack booklet making solution that is designed specifically for mid-volume applications.'
'The Xerox Versant 3100 Press is the most automated system in today's market […] by adding the new Watkiss capability we offer print businesses a powerful production tool to streamline existing processes and gain new opportunities,' commented Kevin O`Donnell, Xerox head of marketing - Graphic Communications and Production Systems.
IPEX 2017 takes place at the NEC 31st October - 3rd November 2017.
