Production at Arjowiggins sites in France still down
Contrary to some information circulating on the market, the Arjowiggins mills which recently entered receivership proceedings are still down. There is hope to find buyers for the mills, but the deadline for presenting offers ends soon.
The three French Arjowiggins paper mills Greenfield, Le Bourray and Bessé-sur-Braye are still not running, a spokesman for the CGT trade union told EUWID. Production at the mills was stopped following the opening of receivership proceedings for the subsidiaries Arjowiggins Papiers Couchés, which operates the mill in Bessé-sur-Braye, Arjowiggins Le Bourray, Greenfield and Arjowiggins Rives on 8 January.
According to the trade union, the deadline for interested buyers to submit a takeover offer for one of the three mills ends next Monday, 4 February. There were potential buyers for Le Bourray and Greenfield, but no definitive offer yet for Bessé-sur-Braye, the spokesman said.
